Psst...
I was a GSB Fellow myself! Read about it here.
The GSBF is part of the Miller Center’s mission to bridge the gap between Silicon Valley innovation and international social entrepreneurs. It gives Santa Clara University students the opportunity to learn and work with these entrepreneurs through mentored, field-based study and action research.
I redesigned the standing banners used to display the students’ work for donors, alumni, and peers.
The design system needed to be elegant, clean, flexible, and centered on the work of the social enterprises. While media often show people experiencing poverty as helpless, I wanted to center the transformative work that these social enterprises are doing, which is the Miller Center’s mission.
The banners are used by all student fellows at major events, being seen by hundreds of Miller Center and SCU partners, donors, and trustees, as well as students and staff at SCU. They’re also often used by the Miller Center for fundraising initiatives and brand recognition. Also, the design system is re-used yearly for new cohorts.
